Surplus stock as a commercial opportunity

Surplus stock is often treated as a nuisance rather than a line of business. In reality, there is a live market for traceable, well-presented surplus casing, tubing, drill pipe and related items, particularly where buyers are cost-sensitive, flexible on origin and prepared to move quickly on attractive stock.

Why stock sits unsold

Many stock owners simply do not market it well. They may have poor descriptions, incomplete commercial framing or limited access to the right buyers.

That creates room for support from a knowledgeable intermediary who understands what matters to the end market.

Where consultancy comes in

Sometimes the real value is not buying the stock directly, but advising how to present it, who to approach and how to compare realistic routes to disposal.

That opens a second commercial pathway alongside pure trading.
